I moved into my grandparents house in 2020 but Pomona has been part of my life since birth. I have spent every weekend here for the first 18 years of my life. My parents are graduates of Ganesha High School and Pomona High School. When my father was an attorney his practice was in Pomona and my mother was a kindergarten teacher at Washington School.
My aunt was the first Latina elected to the Pomona Unified School board and my grandfather was appointed to the Pomona City Planning Commission in 1973.
I am a graduate of UC Berkeley. I have lived in Northern California, Central California and Southern California. I have volunteered and held offices in my community, in women's organizations and in 501(c)(3) organizations. I fundraise for scholarships and advocate for women.
